The Event

The MLSE Team Up Challenge presented by Ford is a premier fundraising event. During this unforgettable day, teams compete in an all day multi-sport tournament (soccer, basketball, ball hockey, beach volleyball and beach dodgeball) to raise funds for MLSE Foundation's largest project - MLSE LaunchPad. MLSE LaunchPad is a 42,000 square foot Sport For Development facility, a place where youth facing barriers use sport to recognize and reach their potential.

To compete in the tournament, teams of 8-10 must reach a minimum fundraising target of $5,000. All funds raised through pledges and donations will help MLSE LaunchPad achieve sustainable, wide-ranging social outcomes for youth facing barriers using a Sport For Development approach. Each team participating in this year's event will be paired with a Youth Ambassador who embodies the spirit of MLSE LaunchPad.

Participants will be invited to an "Open House" of MLSE LaunchPad to see the space and meet the youth that depend on this facility. Keep an eye out for MLSE LaunchPad's "hype squad" on Game Day - who will be onsite to cheer your team on to victory.

This year's event will take place on Friday, June 7th, 2019 at Cabana and Polson Pier, a unique venue in downtown Toronto overseeing the city's skyline. Participants will enjoy a fun filled day of sports, music, entertainment, unlimited food and philanthropy!
